Creating and evolving new value
with determination,
together with our communities
Thank you for visiting the Shinnihon Hotels website. In 2011, we opened Yufuin Bettei Itsuki in Yufuin. Driven by the satisfaction and delight of our guests, the ryokan received the highest honor in the small-property category of the Rakuten Travel Awards in 2016 and earned four stars in the 2018 Michelin Guide to Kumamoto and Oita. It grew into one of Yufuin's leading ryokan. This success led to requests from several companies to revitalize their properties, and we entered the ryokan turnaround business. Today, we operate across three fields: hotel and ryokan operations, M&A and property revitalization, and demand-generation support. We owe this growth to the support of our guests, business partners and local communities, and we offer our sincere thanks.
Ryokan are a uniquely Japanese form of accommodation and a symbol of the country's culture of hospitality. Yet many struggle financially, and their number continues to decline nationwide. We believe that a ryokan earns the lasting preference of guests by refining its individual character until it becomes a true strength. Guided by the principle of learning from the past to create the new, we embrace challenge and change to create value that satisfies and inspires our guests.
We will continue working to connect people and communities, create meaningful encounters and lasting memories, contribute to regional development, and carry Japan's culture of hospitality into the future. We sincerely appreciate your continued support.

Purpose, Philosophy and Spirit
Concept
Purpose
- To continually create meaningful encounters and lasting memories
Management Philosophy
- Delight and inspiration for our guests
Contribution and shared prosperity for our communities
Management that brings both material and personal fulfillment to our employees
SPIRIT
- Gratitude
Whether we take something for granted or recognize it with gratitude can greatly change our sense of happiness. We keep gratitude in our hearts and aim to be an organization filled with sincere thanks.
- Challenge
As society, technology and our environment change rapidly, both the company and each individual must continue to grow and adapt. Challenge is essential: without challenge there is no change, and without change there is no growth. Learning from the past while creating the new, we aim to keep challenging ourselves, changing and growing.
- Excellence
We are a small company, and ordinary work cannot distinguish us from larger competitors. Precisely because we are small, we pursue the highest standards. Excellence is revealed in the details, and performing the fundamentals perfectly is the first step toward becoming first-class.
- Individuality
Continually refining the character of each ryokan until it becomes truly unique is central to our operations and revitalization work. The same applies to personal growth: we focus on strengths, develop them and create a workplace where everyone can express their individuality and work authentically.
